Mermaid's cradle
for basset recorder and fixed electronics.
„Mermaid’s cradle“ brings assotiations to the water, mythology, motherhood, falling asleep, regular swinging motion and death (water children). The composition reflects on most of those associations. According to the Ukrainian mythology, Rusalkas (mermaids) are considered to be drowned, children who have died unchristened, and all people who have died on Midsummer Eve. According to popular beliefs, on Mermaid Day, when the harvest is in full bloom, the mermaids leave the water and walk through the fields and woods.
Cassandra
transmedia series “Cassandra” is an evolving transmedia project – a constellation of works that can be experienced together or independently. Each element illuminates a different facet of the central question: what happens when prophecy becomes a predictive technology and a marketing service? In this speculative narrative, Cassandra’s mythical ability to foresee the future is appropriated and converted into a system designed to forecast artistic trends, cultural value, and audience reactions. Her prophecies circulate as data.

Timbral approximations
for 3 automatic pianos and computer music performer.
In this composition I’m exploring the possibilities of timbral transcriptions, which, when performed by a human or by certain software, add a unique bias to the sound result.

Echo & N.N.

„Echo & N.N.“ explores the topics of unreality and contemporary narcissism - a VR-specific phenomenon of mirror dwellers. The body ownership illusion has recently become a part of experience using social VR platforms (for ex., VRChat). Associating an anonymised self with virtual avatars, one is undergoing the process of embodiment while wearing the VR glasses.
Ghost cities
a cycle for piano/e-piano and portable electronics.
Amplitude (A). Amplitude (E) (for acoustic piano and electronics; for e-piano and electronics) From the cycle „Ghost cities“. Inspired by the Bartok’s Microcosmos, the idea is to create a cycle for pianists, which will allow the performer to explore different electronic effects, different ways of interaction and the concept of correctly functioning and failing. Each small idea for the miniature will get a 2 realisations : on acoustic grand piano and digital piano, keeping the same algorithms for sound processing.
